That time went by quickly!

My aunt is doing better. She was moved to another location, closer to her daughter. 

We did turn off our landline. However - the phone is still sitting where it's been for the last 25 years! Haven't discussed getting rid of the actual phone with Mr. H. Daisy has been paying her part of our joint cell phone bill.

I was asked by my sister and her husband in January, and agreed, to come stay with my mom for 2-1/2 months while my sister and her husband travel. Mom lives with sis & bil, and really can't be left alone. Sis and BIL have a nice, large house; I joke that it's the deluxe airbnb. It's quite far from my normal location. I left at the end of July and won't be back until the beginning of November.

Mom and I had planned to go visit her sister, the one I wrote about in January. I got sick, and we ended up canceling our trip.

Last year I was here for 1-1/2 months.

In mid October we are going to have a family meeting about next year. Sis & BIL would like to travel for five months next year; I think it's prohibitive for me to stay here that long. Mom's arrival at sis & BIL at the end of 2024 coincided with BIL's long planned for retirement, so Mom's care needs clash a bit with Sis & BIL retirement activities. Mom's care needs were also greater than anticipated. Mom got the "Tour of Daughters" this summer - she was with Sis2 & BIL2 for June, Sis & BIL for July, and me for August, September & half of October. (I don't have any brothers so they weren't left out.)

I have been resting up while I care for my mom. Changes are coming and it is going to take all of my energy for them. I have also done some of the prep work while I am here.

I really should write more often - it keeps me focused on moving forward.
